Cañon City Student Named to Chadron State College Dean’s List – Canon City Daily Record
Chadron State College announced that 341 students, including Canon City’s Christina Slattery, have met the Dean’s List requirements for fall 2021 by achieving at least a 3.5 grade point average. To be eligible, students must have completed at least 45 credit hours, be enrolled in 12 hours of coursework, be pursuing their first bachelor’s degree, and have no incomplete grades during the semester. The cities of residence shown reflect the student’s preferred residential address.
Chadron State College, which was founded in 1911, is the only regionally accredited four-year college in the western half of Nebraska. As a public institution with its roots in teacher training, Chadron State prides itself on its accessibility and affordability. Nearly 3,000 undergraduate, graduate, and online students currently attend Chadron State and its program has grown to offer programs and courses in more than 50 majors and honors and eight master’s programs.
Electronic recycling event scheduled for April 9
There will be a Fremont County Electronic Recycling Event on April 9 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Pathfinder Regional Park, located at 6655 Hwy. 115 in Florence. CRT televisions and computer monitors are $25 per item, but all other items are free. Please no major appliances. Microwaves are accepted.
